About us
We have four 'circular' aims.
1. We gather together
2. We combine our capital
3. We pay it forward
4. We support the circular economy
We Gather together
As we go through life we know how important it is to for us to remain connected with others in our community. Ultimately, it helps us to feel that we are seen and heard, but it also gives us purpose when we know we can make a difference to the lives of others. So we commit ourselves to community impact projects.
We combine our capital
We are conditioned to think of money as our wealth or capital. But there are so many kinds of capital besides money.
When we work on our community projects, we know that everyone has something to bring to the table that we will need to succeed. We will need someone with wisdom capital, another with compassion capital, another who brings knowledge of the community capital, someone with time capital, and finally someone with financial capital.
It is only when we combine all the our capital that we can create true wealth.
And so when we gather, we will each bring what we have to the table, and we will each take away what we need.
We pay it forward
The concept of “pay it forward” is ancient, although it has made it has made its way into popular culture in recent years through books, and films.
The premise is simple – we can do acts of kindness for others, without expecting anything in return. And if others did the same in return, our communities and society would be all the better for it.
We support the circular economy
We want our work to matter. By gathering and combining our capital, we know that we can better look after our own health and also contribute to the social fabric of our community. But, we also need to make sure that we make sure that we look after our one and only planet, so there is a future for our next generation.
So, we believe in the need to support the Circular Economy:
“The circular economy is a system where materials never become waste and nature is regenerated. In a circular economy, products and materials are kept in circulation through processes like maintenance, reuse, refurbishment, remanufacture, recycling, upcycling, and composting. The circular economy tackles climate change and other global challenges, like biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution, by decoupling economic activity from the consumption of finite resources”.
